Q-2: What procedures are used for pest prevention?

A-2: Once initial pest concerns have been brought under control, the next step in Wil-Kil's ENVIROGUARD Home Protection program is pest prevention. We design a customized preventative maintenance schedule for your home that consists primarily of exterior perimeter applications called "barrier treatments." This procedure is designed to stop pests before they get in!

Maintaining a pest "barrier" around the exterior of your home is not only an effective way to ward off pests, but it's a responsible means of pest-prevention. By continuing this procedure on an ongoing basis, especially during months of peak pest activity each year, the need for pesticide application inside your home can be minimized or completely eliminated!

ENVIROGUARD Home Protection is also very convenient — particularly for todays busy, on-the-go families. If there are no problems inside when your maintenance visits are due, your exterior barrier treatment will be done and your service report will be left in a door-hanger bag. Q-3: What exactly are perimeter barrier treatments?

A-3: Perimeter barrier treatments are applications done around the exterior perimeter of your home. These applications maintain a protective barrier that stops a wide variety of seasonal pests before they get inside.

• Minimizes (or eliminates) the need for treatment inside.
• Odorless material designed to stand up to adverse weather.
• Lasting protection for up to 6 weeks before slowly wearing off.
• Application done every-other-month during pest activity season.

Q-4: How frequently are preventative treatments done?

A-4: ENVIROGUARD Home Protection programs are custom-designed to fit individual needs. In most cases, however, homes with "usual & customary" seasonal pest concerns usually require a preventative frequency of just three times per year. A barrier treatment each Spring, Summer and Fall is usually sufficient.

Homes with chronic or unusual pest problems may require a treatment schedule that's a bit more intensive but whatever service frequency is right for your home, "an ounce of prevention" is virtually all it takes for year-round protection!

ENVIROGUARD Home Protection programs also include "emergency service" as an added benefit. Should a covered pest problem arise between our scheduled preventative visits, we will return at no additional charge to correct it.

Some pests either aren't so "common" or they require very special treatment procedures for control. Examples include termites, powder post beetles, cluster flies & Asian lady beetles and other flying insects.
