Appleton, Wis., January 5, 2016 – Wil-Kil Pest Control, the Upper Midwest’s quality leader in pest management, today announced Larry Bloechl, IPM Sales and Service Specialist from Stockbridge, WI, has been named the 2015 Residential Technician of the Year by Pest Control Technology (PCT) magazine.

With over 100 nominations from pest control companies throughout the U.S., Bloechl was selected as the standout service professional in the residential category. The annual PCT Technician of the Year Award is designed to honor the achievements of the pest control industry’s finest service professionals. Criteria for the awards include involvement in ongoing education, community service contributions, demonstrating excellence in safety, customer relations and leadership skills, and having a minimum of five years in the industry.

Bloechl, a 37-year pest management industry veteran, joined Wil-Kil Pest Control in 1978. An expert in the industry, Bloechl continues to challenge himself and takes full advantage of continuing education opportunities. He has completed numerous online courses related to all facets of the pest management industry and earned his Wisconsin Pest Control Association (WPCA) Master Technician Certification. He also earned GreenPro Certification through the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) and completed the Purdue Coursework for Food Plant IPM to support his commercial account service work. And, he is one of a handful of individuals who have been honored with the annual QUALE Memorial Award presented by Copesan Services, Inc., the commercial, national account pest management provider who owns Wil-Kil. Nominated by fellow employees, the QUALE award distinguishes winners who exemplify the five attributes of Quality, Unity, Attitude, Loyalty and Enthusiasm.
Bloechl also plays an important role in new business development, training and mentoring at Wil-Kil Pest Control. “Larry has helped mentor some of our best technicians, preparing them for the next step to management. He is always available to answer questions, offer advice and encourage others – it’s truly a pleasure to have him on our team,” Shane McCoy, Director of Quality and Technical Training.
When asked about earning this honor, Larry simply stated, “I am humbled and honored to receive this recognition.”
