FAQs

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR TREATMENT?

Show your technician ALL the areas you have seen mice, mice droppings, or damage from mice. Ensure these areas are free of clutter so the technician can be efficient as possible when they arrive.

ARE THEY DANGEROUS?

Despite their small stature, these tiny creatures pack a punch. Mice like to “nibble” on various items, causing damage to boxes, wood structures and food packaging. Mice also deposit urine and fecal droppings as they run back and forth, contaminating many surfaces in their wake. They can also cause major structural damage by nesting in building materials and they can even increase the risk of fire by chewing on electrical wires. Mice, like other rodents, are known carriers of many serious health conditions including Salmonellosis, Leptospirosis and Hantavirus.

CAN I DO IT MYSELF?

Mice are naturally shy, move quickly, and are most active overnight. Due to the complexity of the treatment of these rodents, very few people are successful at removing mice without the help of professional pest control. Although mouse traps may help destroy one mouse at a time, this does not solve the ultimate problem – how they are getting into your home or business. Be cautious when purchasing pesticides and other products over the counter as they are not effective. These pesticides can actually be MORE harmful to people and pets than they are to the pest if misused or mixed improperly.
